After the launch at EOS, where we were able to tell many enthusiastic dog hunters about our project at our stand, the date for purchase has been set. Online sales of hunting vouchers begin on April 3rd.
Bird Hunter Certification is the certification that celebrates hunting with pointing dogs. It is naturally accessible to all hunters who, while passionate about this hunting discipline, enjoy challenging themselves with a variety of game that pose varying challenges for them and their pointing dogs.
Turismo Venatorio, in designing the certification project, wanted to distance itself from the competitive dog breeding and practical hunting certifications, such as the S. Uberto certification, where a judge still evaluates performance.
The Bird Hunter Certification program aims to certify hunting with pointing dogs for multiple game species, and thus, in effect, the hunter's passion, without a judge to judge it. Passion cannot be judged, but it can be certified.
Turismo Venatorio has identified 9 wild species that can be hunted with pointing dogs and 3 different levels of certification , so that every hunter can feel rewarded for the level they have decided to obtain.
The possible species for which it is possible to obtain certification are therefore 9: pheasant, red-legged partridge, grey partridge, Sardinian partridge, rock partridge, wild quail, woodcock, ptarmigan and black grouse.
As mentioned, there are 3 possible certifications:
1st level certification ( basic ) otherwise called SILVER BIRD HUNTER CERTIFICATION which includes the hunting of 4 species chosen by the hunter from the aforementioned 9.
2rd level certification (media) otherwise known as GOLD BIRD HUNTER CERTIFICATION which provides for the hunting of 2 additional species other than those already hunted, but always at the hunter's choice - therefore a total of 6 species - from the 9 aforementioned.
3rd level certification ( high ) otherwise called DIAMOND BIRD HUNTER CERTIFICATION which requires having hunted all 9 of the aforementioned species.
There will be hunters who want to stop at the SILVER level , others who want to reach the GOLD level , and finally those who want to complete the course and obtain the DIAMOND level . Much depends on one's ambitions and one's curiosity about hunting species never hunted before with one's dogs.
IS IT DIFFICULT TO OBTAIN CERTIFICATIONS?
Obtaining certification is very easy and almost natural for a hunter with a passion for pointing dogs. The hunter will need to purchase Hunting Vouchers ( those required to obtain certification, so for example, SILVER certification requires four, which can be purchased individually or in bundles—the more convenient option). Upon purchase, Turismo Venatorio will also send the Hunter's Register , which the hunter must carefully guard throughout the entire hunting journey leading to certification.
Every time you intend to hunt a wild species you can go to the hunting reserve or go on a hunting trip with a hunting travel agency, show one of your hunting vouchers and get it stamped, thus certifying your Hunter's Register, for the hunted species.
The list of hunting locations for obtaining certification stamps is continually updated on the website ( www.turismovenatatorio.it/bhc/ ); this list is structured species by species, depending on the participation of hunting reserves or hunting travel agencies. Only those listed on the website will be eligible for certification, so we encourage your friends who manage hunting reserves to write to Turismo Venatorio (bhc@turismovenatatorio.it) and request registration as a certifying agency.
Once the first 4 certifications have been obtained, the hunter sends Turismo Venatorio a photo of his Hunter's Register and at the same time purchases the specific Voucher for issuing the certification.
Turismo Venatorio will simply check the validity of the certifications affixed by hunting reserves or hunting agencies in the Hunter's Register and send the elegantly printed certificate directly to the hunter's home to hang in the house, along with the corresponding pin that will adorn the vest.
WHERE CAN I PURCHASE VOUCHERS?
The vouchers are expected to be put on sale from April 3, 2024 and from that day they will be available for purchase online on the website www.outdoormarket.it
Subsequently, by prior agreement, vouchers for hunting certifications will also be available for purchase directly at participating hunting reserves.
The Voucher for issuing the certification , whatever it may be, will always be exclusively purchasable online.
As Hunting Tourism, we are sure we have done something appreciated, which among other things has been repeatedly requested by many dog hunting friends, and now it finally exists.
