The Appeals Court ruling unfortunately confirmed much of what had been denied to hunters regarding the Sicilian Region's hunting calendar for the 2022-23 season.
The TAR ruling of a few days ago had effectively denied the early opening of the wood pigeon, the early opening of the turtle dove and wild rabbit as well as the hunting of teal in the territory of the ATC Trapani 2 and the training of dogs starting from mid-August.
Liberi Cacciatori, the National Hunters Association, and Italcaccia appealed the ruling, but unfortunately did not obtain many changes compared to the previous ruling that penalized hunters.
The only partial success concerns dog training, which will be permitted during the week between August 22nd and 29th.
