Chapuis, one of the most celebrated French gunmaking companies, distributed in Italy by Franchi, offers its ROLS linear-action rifle in many variations to suit all hunters' tastes.
The well-known French company Chapuis has engaged the Rols hunting rifle, already described in a previous article , in the creation of a series of models that have the same excellent ballistic effectiveness, but better meet the tastes and needs of various hunters.
ROLS SOFT TOUCH
This version features a neo stock that, even when wet, offers a great grip, so important for a hunting rifle. Chapuis intended this version of the Rols to be used by more adventurous hunters, those who aren't afraid of rain, humidity, and challenging vegetation, and who expose their rifle to the obvious risk of abrasion, which is prevented by the Soft Touch coating on the beechwood stock.
Open sights with height-adjustable front bead, patented luminescent, triangle-shaped rear sight, the Rols is available in the calibers 6,5x55SE – 243 Win – 7×64 – 270 Win – 30,06 – 308 Win – 9,3×62 – 300 Win Mag – 7 Rem Mag. Weight of around 3,1 kg.

ROLS ELEGANCE
In this version, Chapuis wanted to maintain the traditional visual appearance of its Rols. This "stylistic exercise" by the French company, while retaining all the technical features typical of this excellent straight-action rifle, is intended to appeal to all hunters who, for their emotional reasons, would never approach a hunting gun unless it were made of beautiful, traditional woods. The stock is made of grade 3 walnut, first sandblasted and then oil-finished. This version is also available in all the calibers available for the Soft Touch. It also weighs 3,1 kg.

ROLS CLASSIC
A rifle suitable for any type of hunting, both from a hide and stalking. The beautiful wooden stock, crafted from grade 3 walnut, will definitely satisfy the most discerning of tastes. The stock features a slight Monte Carlo hump, clearly demonstrating the company's dedication to creating an elegant combination of wood and receiver. The receiver therefore has a classic style, with the receiver available in either black or bronze, depending on the hunter's preference.
The lever and its end ball are glossy black. It is also available in the aforementioned calibers.

ROLS DELUXE
With the Rols Deluxe, Chapuis felt it necessary to raise the bar to meet the needs of all hunters who place beauty among the first elements when choosing a rifle.
First and foremost, the woods, which already demonstrate the quality of the workmanship: grade 4 in this version, drawn and oil-finished, sourced from specially selected walnut stocks. The action features excellent engravings designed by the company's master engravers, depicting hunting scenes with extraordinary realism. The pistol grip stock, also in this version, features a Monte Carlo hump and a tulip-shaped forend. The black linear bolt handle and walnut grip ball are also available. Interchangeable barrels are available in a wide range of calibers.

ROLS ARTISAN
Chapuis ranks this version at the top of its range. It is undoubtedly the perfect blend of master gunsmiths' experience and the latest technology. It is therefore a "Custom Shop" product, where customer personalization is undoubtedly the primary strength. The engravings are strictly hand-crafted, and custom designs can also be requested. The wood is of absolute excellence: sandblasted and oil-varnished grade 5 walnut, sure to satisfy the most discerning palates.
The stock, as in other versions, features a Monte Carlo hump. The end of the forend is rounded and made of precious ebony.
The beautiful cocking lever in old silver (but can also be requested in black) with a checkered ball.

All versions are naturally able to accommodate the optics available on the market at the hunter's discretion.
