It's a major event for enthusiasts of fine firearms, taking place in Castiglion Fiorentino from May 17th to 20th. Numerous double-barreled shotguns are on display, including one from 1950.
Every year, as per tradition, the Maggio Castiglionese takes place in the town of Arezzo, and the Club della Doppietta a Cani Esterni Italia is present with an exhibition of historical weapons, specifically double-barrelled shotguns.
The exhibition will be held in the splendid Teatro Comunale and will feature a large number of double-barreled shotguns, many of which come from the private collection of Cosimo Azzinnari and the Club's many members. Among the many weapons on display is the granddaddy of them all, a flintlock double-barreled shotgun dating back to the mid-1700s.
This is a great opportunity to learn about the technical evolution of the hunting double-barreled shotgun and to further expand your knowledge on the subject.
Side-by-side shotguns are available in all calibers, from large calibers to small shed calibers, with curiosities now relegated to the past, such as the 14-caliber.
An event not to be missed, where beauty meets technical knowledge.
