FIDC President Massimo Buconi expressed disappointment at the withdrawal of many of the amendments to the agriculture decree.
Yesterday, a sudden interruption in the process of renewing Italian hunting was highlighted following the withdrawal of several amendments to the Agriculture Decree regarding the revision and modernization of certain aspects of hunting in Italy.
The President of Federcaccia expressed his disappointment in a video that the problems at hand have not been resolved and called on the government to urgently identify other legislative instruments to resolve them.
According to Buconi, the primary need is to provide certainty to Italian hunters, particularly with the hunting calendars promulgated by the Regions that regulate hunting. Furthermore, it is increasingly necessary to provide certainty in the control of wild fauna, including—and the PSA is an example—with regard to health aspects, as well as the damage they cause to agricultural crops.
Agriculture Minister Lollobrigida reiterated that Law 157 needs to be reviewed and updated, and that there will be other opportunities to discuss hunting activities outside of the Agriculture Decree.
At this moment there is a lot of disappointment among hunters, starting with that of Senator Bruzzone, who had worked to draft the amendments.
