House arrest for Antonio Colonna, previously described by some as Vittoria Brambilla's (unrelated) right-hand man, for "police" actions carried out through usurpation of title.
Animal rights activist Antonio Colonna was placed under house arrest by the Frascati Police Station, which, after a thorough investigation, determined he had been involved in fraud. The incidents date back to last October, when the animal rights activist, posing as a zookeeper—a qualification he did not possess—went to a farm and ordered the seizure of animals as if he had that qualification.
But Colonna is a repeat offender, as this is not the first time he has had to deal with the law. Just a year ago he was again the subject of an investigation whose charges were decidedly serious, as they involved extortion, private violence, slander and embezzlement.
Barbara Mazzali, a member of the Brothers of Italy party, pointed out that animal rights activists believe hunters are the ones committing crimes, but Mazzali also claims they are the ones who enter and exit the courts. While hunters pay taxes, Colonna even allegedly posed as a Judicial Police Inspector and performed his duties.
