February 12, 2024 – There are just a few days left until the inauguration of EOS-European Outdoor Show , the trade fair for the hunting, shooting, outdoor, and fishing and boating sectors, which kicks off Saturday, February 17th and runs until Monday, the 19th at Veronafiere. The calendar of accompanying events and demonstrations is comprehensive and packed: over 40, including product presentations, award ceremonies, cultural enrichment opportunities, courses, conferences, and debates.
EOS show, due to its leading role in the sector in Italy, is the interpreter of the importance of the game supply chain, promoting the event called “Wild meat, gourmet cuisine”, in partnership with Franchi and UNA Foundation, in a dedicated space hall 10, which will host a mix of show cooking shows, with tastings and samplings of game meat and information and entertainment modules for the public, on the days of Saturday February 17 and Sunday, February 18, 2024It starts at 10,30 on Saturday with the chef Stefano Marinucci which will offer creative ideas, preparations, and pairing suggestions. At 12 p.m., after the fair's inauguration, Marinucci will be joined by the "father" of game cuisine in Italy, chef Igles Corelli. Marinucci will prepare a green risotto with wild boar sausage and mountain toma ice cream, Corelli his famous “The roe deer becomes tuna”, Roe deer rack marinated in soy sauce and honey, wild field herbs. Still on Saturday, it will then be the turn of Renata Briano, president of the Scientific Committee of the UNA Foundation and chef Anita Stogbuchner. In the following interventions on Saturday and throughout Sunday there will be plenty of time to underline the ecological role of the hunter and the sustainability of hunting with the participation, among others, of Giacomo dell'Aglio and Tommaso Picollo, of the restaurant “Locanda del Daino”, Luigi Martini of the Agriturismo “Le Frise” and Davide Moles of the “Malga Stain” refuge.
The Paris Olympics are upon us , and Pavilion 12 , in addition to the EOS Arena with a packed program of events (a list can be downloaded from www.eos-show.com ), will offer visitors a firsthand experience of shooting sports, thanks to the interactive areas managed by the Italian Federation of Dynamic Sport Shooting and the Italian Federation of Hunting Weapons . But the highlight of the shooting event is undoubtedly the 800-square-meter stand of the Italian Shooting Union , where enthusiasts can experience the thrill of shooting on simulators. They will also be able to attend the EOS Trophy , an air pistol and rifle competition, on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 February, on the twenty shooting ranges set up for the occasion. This unconventional competition is open to all members and, after the preliminary round, features a spectacular final elimination round using the “Out of One” formula: after each shot, the shooter with the lowest score is eliminated.
Also this year the weapons can be tested at the famous one Trap Concaverde of Lonato (BS), just 30 minutes from Veronafiere, which exceptionally for EOS has equipped itself with lines dedicated to rifled weapons and pistols. Shuttle service every 30 minutes from the EOS entrance, Saturday and Sunday from 9,30 to 16,30.
At 10am on Sunday, February 18th Hunting Federation deals with a current topic at the conference “Hunting Calendars: The Importance of Scientific Studies.” Always on Sunday, at 14 pm and always at the EOS Arena in pavilion 12 of Veronafiere, Assoarmeri organizes the Legal conference "The Principle of Legality: Future Prospects and Protection in the Possession of Weapons and Ammunition". For fishing, EOS is a true celebration of technique and entertainment , offering conferences, international guests, and special initiatives that offer a wonderful journey into this passion. Of note, on Saturday, February 17, at 2:00 pm in the Fishing Arena in Pavilion 9, the presentation of the refresher courses by the Italian Association of Professional Fishing Guides (AIGUPP). This will be followed at 3:00 pm by the award ceremony for the 2023 Italian Black Bass Major League Fishing Champions . At 11:00 am on Sunday, a focus on fishing in Friuli-Venezia Giulia , organized by the region's Fishing Protection and Tourism Agency. At 2:00 pm, the AIGUPP will host a conference on the role of the fishing guide in Italy.
The two casting pools , 20 and 30 meters long, will allow participants to touch and try out the new equipment presented by the most important brands in the sector.
