There are many ways to tell the story of hunting, more or less fascinating depending on the pen of the person doing it. But beyond that, there's living it, because hunting can tell its own story... and for Franchi this is a well-known awareness.
Times have changed, even in hunting, since our grandfather taught us the basic rudiments we have treasured. His vision as a young man was to bring meat to the humble table. We who have treasured this, and can proudly call ourselves hunters, watch our chests swell with pride because we still know how to imagine emotions, no longer the pursuit of protein, but more complex ones. The modern hunter's imagination is much more nuanced, because he has the opportunity to grasp many more aspects of a hunting experience, which were reasonably so secondary that they completely faded in our grandfather's thoughts. The need to hoard protein no longer exists today, and this allows the modern hunter to focus on all the other sensations that his grandfather could not see.
Today's hunting gives us more, much like those who in centuries past set out on African safaris, and the kill was merely the long-awaited and exciting culmination of an experience shared with others, with the thrill of anticipation and the pleasure of spending time together, intensely thinking about the next day in front of a campfire. This concept of shared experience is particularly dear to FRANCHI, which certainly has the construction of good hunting rifles in its DNA, but after the industrial rebranding has approached concepts of experienced hunting, capable of fueling passion and generating emotions to be framed in each one's own album of memories, and where the weapon is only part of much more.
The “container” FRANCHI EXPERIENCE, therefore, encompasses the entire hunt, from the moment you meet with friends to plan it, to the beautiful shot, to the recounting of it over a banquet where you savor the gastronomic rewards of previous treks. A before, a during, an after. All beautiful and passionate, which is the fascinating reality experienced by every good hunter.
The first step is to get organized, deciding with friends to enjoy a hunting event together, all of which is celebrated with a sense of solemnity, from identifying the type of hunt to the tactical planning of how to execute it, based on the best skills each friend can bring to the table. This planning often begins with a glass of wine in hand, perhaps while enjoying the results of a previous hunt.
The "during" is the moment of emotion, of the dog's perfect point or the immediate comment on a good shot or a poor aim. But it's also the moment when you wait for a friend struggling on a slope to hand him a water bottle or to briefly review the hunt, the work on the dogs, or how to round up the new plots. It's also, if you like, the moment of teasing, if one of your friends has clearly failed to serve a dog, or of "unquestionable" considerations about the cartridges.
The aftermath brings us back to the table, after having properly looked after the assistants who have worked so hard with us and for us. It's time again to raise a glass, and to reflect, half seriously and half jokingly, with serenity and relaxation, on the emotions we've just experienced, which enrich us more and more each time.
Now, this is a hunting experience…..and Franchi On June 30th and July 1st he created one, where he brought together some friends from the gunsmith and press. Thanks to the work of Bruno, Chiara, Iris and Samuele, who Franchi I am the soul, and to the punctual organizational ability of Luca who hosted the group in the immense landscapes of Valle di Fiordimonte, Franchi managed to create the pleasant experience we described in the previous lines, while at the same time allowing us to test the range of its weapons, directly on the hunting ground. Two days enlivened by the gourmet of Franchi Food Academy, from the conviviality, from the sharing of hunting emotions, from the awareness that once the event was over we were all enriched in friendships and contents and from the pleasure of having been part of the vision of Franchi for hunting.
FRANCHI EXPERIENCE, simply living the hunting experience in all its aspects.
Thanks to Franchi for making us participate and for reminding us of the right approach to feel like complete hunters.
