In recent days, the Eastern nation voted on a bill that would amend the current hunting law to allow those under 18 to hunt.
The proposal has so far been adopted with 270 votes in favor, a majority. The draft legislative amendment will now be considered by the Committee on the Protection of the Environment, Natural Resources, and Forestry.
Of course, as FACE illustrates, nothing is guaranteed yet for the young Poles but the first one is certainly an important success for hunting.
Poland is currently the only country that does not allow young people under 18 to participate in hunting, and the Polish Hunting Association believes it is useful for young people to be able to participate in hunting.
FACE also points out that there is a growing trend in Europe for young people to become involved in hunting, and this is considered particularly beneficial for young people's mental health and physical development, especially at a time when young people are spending less and less time outdoors.
