We're incredibly eager to pursue our passion. Covid dashed many of our hopes last year; we were limited in our ability to travel between regions and almost entirely between states. Now we're starting to think about hunting and tourism again.
The hunting agency Caccia e Avventura, headed by Dario Boni, has been preparing packages of considerable interest for Italian hunters for many years.
It doesn't take you very far, with destinations ranging from Greece to Bosnia and Romania, but it certainly aims to satisfy the most discerning palates. For them, and dog lovers in particular, it occupies a privileged position in Bosnia, with exclusive hunting for woodcock and rock partridge, in fairytale landscapes where both dog and hunter are required to be at peak physical and mental fitness.
For thrush hunting enthusiasts, Caccia e Avventura has chosen Greece, notoriously the most sought-after Balkan destination for this type of hunting.
If you want to travel a little further, there's Romania, a traditional destination for many Italian hunters, primarily for the abundance of waterfowl between the Danube and the numerous inland lakes; waterfowl, especially geese, are not huntable in Italy. But small migratory birds, from skylarks to thrushes, from fieldfares to quails, are also popular for pointing dog enthusiasts.
The slogan of Dario Boni and his collaborators is " seriousness always pays " and that is what he has always put in for a passion that has become a profession.
