Starting October 1st, Olin Winchester assumed full management and operational control of the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Independence, Missouri.
The Lake City facility is owned by the U.S. government and is one of the largest military small arms munitions facilities in the world, with 1.600 acres, 450 buildings, and 2.000 employees.
The contract is awarded to Olin Winchester based on its experience in ammunition production and strengthens its global leadership.
It's a great opportunity to remind all fans that WINCHESTER is a reference in the ammunition sector and a strong partner for their business.
Obviously this contract does not affect the production of commercial ammunition in the USA. WINCHESTER produced at its Oxford Mississippi plant.
