Today 15 May 2020 "Caccia Village" would open its doors and it would have been the tenth time for the Bastia Umbra Fair.
A significant achievement, achieved through steady growth that has led it to become the most important national event in the sector. This was achieved by combining passion, business, sport, and culture in its offerings. Of all the definitions attributed to us by the media, the one we believe best fits is that of having identified us as a "meeting place"; this makes us proud and deeply gratified! The results achieved in nine years are due to all those who, without distinction, have contributed to the growth of Caccia Village, even simply through their presence: a people who have come from all over Italy! We, the organizers, have sought to fill a clear void, offering friends of hunting, fishing, clay pigeon shooting, and leisure an opportunity that has been magnificently exploited and appreciated beyond their wildest expectations.
What would have happened to our vision, our entrepreneurial skills, without your passion, without your word of mouth, without your sacrifices, without your encouragement? You helped us grow, you lent us a hand in overcoming the many obstacles we encountered along this long journey. Only in this way did the stream—slowly fed by a thousand rivulets—become a river of people, and Caccia Village become what it is today. This year's journey was interrupted, right at the time when we were making our greatest effort to celebrate a significant anniversary. Unfortunately, we know exactly why, but we repeat: it was only interrupted. It will resume in a year, and we will be stronger than ever!
We're used to being this way in difficult times, just like the people who follow us and will continue to follow us. For our part, we want to reassure you with this message that we'll be here in 2021 to do even better and make up for lost time. We mustn't abandon each other, we mustn't forget the good things we're sure we'll experience again. We invite you to shake our hands, hug us, call your dearest friends, your dearest companions on this adventure; return to your gun shops as soon as possible, return to the shooting ranges, take your dogs to training camps.
Let us share the certainty that Caccia Village will be ready when this sad and painful period is over. And it will once again become the favorite place for our meetings and our passions.
Strength and courage.
