The bill's passage through the Council Committee confirmed the bill, which provides, among other things, for the exemption from the regional tax for new hunters.
"I congratulate the Liguria Region's Councilor for Hunting and Fishing, Stefano Mai, for moving forward with my proposal, which embodies the message of reviving hunting in our region because it is important for maintaining environmental balance and protecting biodiversity in our region."
This was stated today by Lega Senator Francesco Bruzzone, vice president of the 13th Parliamentary Commission on Environment and Territory, after this morning the 3rd Regional Council Commission (Productive Activities, Hunting and Fishing) approved the bill that exempts new hunters from paying the hunting license fee during their first year of hunting.
"I now hope that the new bill will finally be approved soon by the Ligurian Legislative Assembly. In recent years," added Senator Bruzzone, "the number of hunters has been declining in Liguria as well. This has unfortunately led to a reduction in human presence in forested areas, with the inevitable consequence that many areas are often abandoned. The message of the new regional bill is precisely that of land reclamation through this important activity, which is essential for the true and concrete protection of the environment and biodiversity, but also from other perspectives, such as forest fire prevention."
